This document extends the range of the products, described in Part 1 of the standard series, with power electronic converters, whose rated system voltages over 1 000V a.c. or 1 500V d.c. up to 36 kV a.c. or 54 kV d.c. and adds arc fault rating label requirements with testing instructions. This document references IEC 62477-1 (edition 1.0) as applicable with notation. Note that high voltage power electronic converter systems frequently contain a low voltage part or section.
