The guideline defines specifications and procedures for the examination of relevant characteristics for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) with X-ray computer tomography sensors (CT-sensor). These characteristics are defined in a manner that greatest possible comparability is reached to existing characteristics for CMM with tactile and with optical sensors. They serve the specification of CMM with CT-sensors as well as the comparison of different measuring systems. Beyond that function mode and characteristics of the CT-sensor system are described.According to DIN EN ISO 10360-2 the procedures for the accaption test and for the reverification test for determination of the length measuring deviation and the probing error with CT sensors are defined. DIN EN ISO 10360 is very strongly oriented at tactile sensors. Therefore this guideline specifies necessary additions for the application of CT sensors. The guideline appears identically as VDI/VDE 2630 Part 1.3 'Computed tomography in dimensional measurement; Guideline for the application of DIN EN ISO 10360 for coordinate measuring machines with CT-sensors'.
