In order to be able to assess the operational behaviour of a controlling device, the knowledge of the following individual properties prerequisite: the behaviour of the controlling element (valve), the behaviour of the actuator, the behaviour of the positioner in combination with other accessories (e.g. volume booster). This standard gives an overview of different actuators with regard to the positioning of the shut-off flap or throttle body, the possible materials of the sealing system and their structural design. Furthermore, it describes different parameters and possibilities of torques over the entire functional area of the actuating device. It is applicable to swivel fittings in on/off and standard applications.
