Several round robin tests have been run by the CEC IL-24 and PL-074 (former: PL 14) working groups in an attempt to identify any problems associated with the existing CEC L-33-T-82 test method. A questionnaire was devised and circulated to the participating laboratories in order to clarify any discrepancies in the manner which the test was being run. In its present format, the test method is considered to be vague and ambiguous, hence a working group was set up to identify the main concerns, decide upon any necessary alterations, with the aid of both the round robin results and completed questionnaires, and to write this method which ultimately, was presented for 'Approved' status. The document contains amendments proposed by the CEC IL-24/PL 14 subgroup at the preliminary meeting held in Hamburg, 28th September 1992 and the PL 14/IL 24 meeting held at Gouda, 19th November 1992.
